The CGS program reaches statewide and targets specific demographic groups to fulfill its mission. In an effort to reach out to all college-bound students including those in rural areas, site locations are established throughout the state of Arizona including sites located on the reservations in northern Arizona. In 2009, the ACPE hosted 30 site locations in Arizona, and seven Saturday events were hosted. In order to adequately serve first generation students and parents, Spanish speaking assistance was available at all sites, Native American speaking assistance was provided at 4 sites, and computers were available at all 30 sites to encourage students and families to complete the FAFSA online. The College Goal Sunday Program in Arizona is widely supported by the community. The Arizona Association of State Financial Aid Administrators (AASFAA), Arizona high schools, community colleges, universities, and USA Funds have been constant and dedicated partners for all fourteen years of planning and executing Arizona College Goal Sunday (CGS). In recent years the Arizona School Counselors Association, GEAR UP, and TRIO Programs have joined to help plan and promote CGS. All partners give volunteer time and resources to make the Program successful. The Arizona Commission for Postsecondary Education has dedicated human and financial resources to coordinating the CGS Program for more than 13 years.
